I stayed at Kirishima Kanko Hotel 4 times in March, May and June this year. This hotel relatively provides reasonable prices in Kirishima Hotspring compared with Kirishima Hotel and Kirishima Kokusai Hotel. Especially, staying in weekday between Monday and Thursday is much cheaper than in weekend. I paid 17,500 yen per night, in weekday price, for two, including dinner and breakfast.
This Hotel provides Japanese Kaiseki-style dinner and buffet breakfast. Breakfast is on average.
I recommend taking outdoor baths in Northern building rather than larger bathes in Central building.
I received the latest edition of “Gendai-Nogyo”, Monthly Community Magazine for Farmers. I am not doing for agricultural business currently, but I have plans about how to get profits from agricultural land and forest which my father will inherit.
Main theme for this month is about “how did farmers sell their products in COVID-19 ?”. Some farmers had sold ones to schools, restaurants, direct sales places before this pandemic. However, during pandemics, they couldn’t distribute ones into these sales channels, were forced to sell ones into other channels instead.
Urban people including me must have different perspective from this magazine’s view, because agricultural product prices in grocery stores drastically increased by about 30 percent in my impression.
The reason of price gap above is by different sales channel, because grocery stores will basically purchase agricultural products from large distributors such as JA” Japan Agricultural Cooperatives”. During COVID-19 pandemic, most of people who had eaten out were forced to cook by themselves, who bought agricultural products sold in grocery stores. Demand increased for stable supply because the farmers in this magazine avoid supplying to large distributors taking large margin. Therefore, prices increased by imbalance between demand and supply.
In order for producers and consumers to be satisfied with, it is very important to increase independent sales channels of large distributor. Direct sales to consumers and package products among producers are examples to have solutions. Diversification will be protection also for future pademics, as there is proverb in stock investment “Don’t put all your eggs in one basket.”.
Even after of “Declaration of a State of Emergency” in April 7th, anyone could enter Meiji Shirine except for Inner Garden. I had visited Meiji Shrine, especially North Pond and Lawn in front of Treasury Meseum, almost every day.
However, Meiji Shrine regulated visiting the places except for Main Shrine between April 27th and May 26th, the lifted day of “Declaration of a State of Emergency”.
I visited the shrine to get relaxed around North Pond and Lawn in the evening of May 28th.
It took almost two months to received two masks since Japanese Prime minister declared providing two masks for each family in April fool day, April 1st.
During the period, many masks are stocked in any pharmacy shops. Therefore, the majority of Japanese believe that the expense of 46.6 billion yen ($430 million) is useless and will have budget pressure for taxpayers.
Quick decisions and actions are required for such emergencies.
I, Yoshi Miyano, will write not only about informatics in Aerospace Industry but also about my interests such as health, traveling and linguistics. Comments about aerospace industry are based on my indivisula opinions not coming from company that I belong to.
